dialByWord is a simple phone application enabling dialing a number that is a combination of text and numbers, e.g. 1.800.ABC.HELP. The letter-to-number translation is displayed. In the Dial Field, just type in the text and use the Alt/Shift key to enter numbers. The translated digits are displayed in the Call Field. Use the thumbwheel to select ''Call'' to place the call. Use a combination of numbers and letters for a password? Can''t remember what the dialing letter-to-number translation is, i.e. what numeric key maps to the letter ''w''? Use the main screen in dialByWord to see what number matches a letter in the Call Field display. An ''Insert +'' option is provided to easily enter the ''+'' sign. A call history is stored of the last 10 unique placed calls. You can call directly from this list as well.
