This is a FREE software with functionality of the Standard version except for 3 limitations. The limitations are: track mapping is limited to 500 points, no positioning without track mapping, number of pushpins is limited to 10. SmartMap is a program for working with high resolution color electronic maps for Windows CE. It is compatible with GPS receiver connected through the Compact Flash socket or the serial port. The program enables you to view maps, determine your location on the map, view the current track (route), store the track in the ESRI Shape File format, and save the current track. Thus you can scan and prepare color vector electronic maps for PocketPC. It is a convenient instrument for handling large archives of electronic maps. MapManager imports maps in the ESRI Shape file format, and converts them to VTM format, which is specifically developed by VITO Technology to accelerate the work with maps on Pocket PC with its limited resources.
