Notepad Mobile supports Text (.txt) files, and any other type of file including HTML (.htm), XML (.xml), Shortcut Links (.lnk), Logfiles (.log), and many others. Notepad Mobile is much more than a word processor, its also a powerful HTML editor, XML editor, or Log-file viewer. Notepad Mobile is automatically associated with Text (.txt) files for convenient access from any application on your device.

Powerful searching functionality

You can specify characters or words to search for; the matching text will automatically be highlighted and scrolled into visibility. Find the next occurrence easily with only one key press. Notepad Mobile makes searching powerful and easy with convenient context based functionality. Search Next is automatically added to the left soft key upon a search, and removed when no more occurrences are found. The powerful search functionality lets you find text easily, from the beginning of the document, forward or reverse, and can even match the case of the search string.

Elegant interface with a powerful design

Notepad Mobile has been designed to be simple and elegant, while allowing easy access to powerful features. Powerful features like the recent file list are only a few button presses away, its easy to copy parts of any document into another. Insert the current time and date or another document. Easily send a document as a SMS, MMS, or E-Mail message to any Outlook Mobile contact, directly from Notepad Mobile. Set the default input type, Spell (Multi-tap), Ambiguous (T9), Number (123), Text (abc), its available each time you use the application. Display the filename in the title bar, and view the current file size.

Simple and elegant one-handed editing

The Mark mode is amazingly simple and powerful. Cut, Copy, and Past text to different locations, or applications. Simply set the Mark mode and the Left soft key will atomically switch to the Edit menu. Mark mode is turned off automatically after an edit operation. Delete and Undo functions remove text or changes you have made. Editing documents has never been easier.

Multi-State Icon Support

Notepad Mobile supports the latest advancements from Windows Mobile 5.0, including Multi-State icons. The icon will change appearance if it is selected, like the bundled applications included with Windows Mobile 5.0.
