Manstein's forces include General Hoth's 4th Panzer Army. You are assigned to Hoth's II SS Panzer Corps. General Paulus Hausser will oversee your training for Operation Citadel.

Soviet Russia - Based upon past experience and recent intelligence reports, the German Army will likely attempt to surround and destroy our exposed forces near Kursk. Marshal of the Soviet Union Alexander Vasilevsky has issued a directive to all army commanders to create defensive anti-tank positions during the rasputiza (spring thaw) in preparation for the German summer offensive.
