Our most impressive achievement to date: a complete reference about infectious diseases, microbiology and antimicrobials in the palm of your hand.

Includes sections on microorganisms, infectious diseases by anatomical location, prophylactic therapy for infections and for surgical procedures, index of the antimicrobial spectra, Index of the normal flora by anatomical sites and an exhaustive section of the pharmacology of antimicrobial agents.

All sections are easy to access, they are extensively cross-linked and let you navigate trough the document just like you would a web site. Also, our documents already have buit-in boockmarks that let you directly access the section you want.

All this information is available on a small memory footprint (640k). You wont be able to find a more complete ID reference in such a small size, not even qIDTM from ePocrates TM is that complete.

The trial version contains the complete Normal flora index section. It also contains some sections on infectious diseases, microorganisms and antimicrobials as well as the complete table of contents for the whole package. Just follow the (try it!).

Complete list of more than 400 bacteria, viruses and fungi. For each organism, you'll find details regarding the microbiology, epidemiology, clinical syndrome associated with the organism, diagnostic tests/procedures needed and detailed treatments. This section is separated in 2 sub-sections for quick access:

  • By alphabetical order: With links to directly go to the desired letter.
  • By class: Find the organism your looking for easily. The organism are separated using gram stain, morphology, aerobic vs. non-aerobic capacity and taxonomical family.

Complete list of more than 300 infectious diseases. Each disease includes a short differential diagnosis, some general comments on treatment options and precautions as well as the recommended antimicrobial agents with the appropriate dosage. This section is separated in 2 sub-sections for quick access:

  • By alphabetical order: With links to directly go to the desired letter.
  • By anatomical location: Lists the infectious diseases by anatomical location or system.

Complete list separated in 2 sections:

  • Prevention of infections with chemotheraty: Complete list from bacterial endocarditis to prophylaxis for needlestick injury. All the prophylactic regiment used in your day to day practice.
  • Surgical antibiotic prophylaxis: Complete list by type of surgery of the prophylactic regiments used in surgical prophylaxis and the infectious organisms involved.

Complete list of the antimicrobial spectra of over 50 commonly used antibiotics against the 50 most commonly seen organisms. All of this using easy to use menus. This section is separated in 2 sub-sections for quick access: the list of antibiotics by alphabetical order or by class.

Complete list of the drugs used in the previous 4 sections (over 300 antimicrobial agents): antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal , etc. Each file contains information on brand names, antimicrobial activity, pregnancy risk factor, contraindications and precautions, mechanisms of action, dosage and the necessary adjustments in patients with impaired functions or on dialysis. This section is separated in 2 sub-sections for quick access:

  • By alphabetical order, with links to directly go to the desired letter.
  • By class: Aminoglycoside, anti-fungal, anti-malarial, anti-parasitic, anti-tuberculous, anti-viral (HIV/AIDS, CMV, Others), cephalosporins, fluoroquinolones, macrolides, ophthalmic drugs, penicillins, tetracyclines and others
  • Normal flora index:

    Complete listing of the normal flora of the human body. This section is separated by anatomical sites for quick access.
